![]() Being naturally bright, finding education in the United States was no problem for him. N'Jadaka spent the next couple of decades honing himself within the outside world. Īs no one would adopt the now free urchin, N'Jadaka eventually took to his new alias in order to better blend in within Harlem, New York City, as people continually got his birth name wrong. This eventually culminated in Erik killing his cruel caretaker before severing all ties with his slave masters, leaving his prior life of servitude in order to find his own path. Years of stealing and building devices for his hated caretakers made N'Jadaka increasingly bitter and resentful, largely towards M'Demwe, Klaw, the kingdom which he felt abandoned by, and the outside world as a whole. The haughty Ulysses commanded the Wakandan refugee to cast aside the former life he knew and embrace him as his new god even giving the orphan a different name, "Erik", while the traitor of his nation hypocritically called himself N'Jadaka's only real people, saying the world at large didn't value them at at all. The caravan of brigands he traveled with groomed him for years to embrace his hate and rage. ![]() ĭuring exile, the treacherous M'Demwe acted as a forceful parental figure to a young Killmonger as they traveled abroad, the former boasting of their hierarchical supremacy as they foraged throughout what he called "inferior lands." In truth the boy's captor never had any real way to return to their hidden home realm. This eventually resulted in the murder of his family at M'Demwe's hand when Klaw's co-conspirator kidnapped him and fled their Golden Realm after the death of the Late King. Perhaps the end of the potential Captain America & The Winter Soldier season 2 could see a similar retitle to Captain America & The White Wolf? Fingers are crossed.N'Jadaka's childhood life was fraught with hardship as a seditious Wakandan plotted with the nation's enemies to usurp the power of the Black Panther's throne. Bucky Barnes has come a long way as a character since being a brainwashed assassin, and it would be a shame to not see his future fully realized in the MCU's own future. Regardless, while there are certainly a lot of question marks about Bucky's future in the MCU, it doesn't appear as though Marvel's Falcon & The Winter Soldier finale was the last fans will see of the character. He would also fit in perfectly as an opposing force to whatever Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is planning with John Walker, her new U.S. There is a comics precedent for the Winter Soldier joining Nick Fury in dealing with extraterrestrial threats, so perhaps he could be involved in the upcoming Secret Invasion series. However, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to imagine Bucky being featured in other MCU projects as well. Likewise, Bucky would also be expected to be featured in a second season (though it would now be Captain America & The Winter Soldier) should a second season indeed happen. With the newly announced Captain America 4, it's certainly possible that Bucky could be largely featured just as he has been in all three Captain America films prior. While Falcon & The Winter Soldier didn't really give Bucky full closure, it's possible that that could be amended with future appearances in the MCU.
